I was a senior lecturer for 20 years and taught the following courses several times to undergrad math majors and engineering majors. This list also includes a course on the theory of measure and integration which I taught to grad students for 3 years.
This is to share a few recollections about my mentor Professor Rajnikant Bhatt, a teacher par excellence! I learnt to construct proofs of theorems in books step by step under his able guidance and tasted research already during my Bachelor’s degree. That initiated me to take up further studies in mathematics and I joined the prestigious School of Mathematics at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR)-Bombay for my Ph.D. and now, after about thirty years, I am a faculty member in the Indian Statistical Institute, a premier research institute at Bangalore in South India and I never forget my education under Professor Bhatt, who will remain, always, a special teacher for me!

Professor
Prof. Bhatt taught me Real Analysis, Linear Algebra and Differential Equations. To this day, the spirit and essence of his teaching remains with me - dare me and I will pick-up chalk and give you an epsilon-delta proof even today! :) Prof. Bhatt’s style of teaching is characterized by clarity of thought, streamlined unfolding of the subject matter. His aesthetics of presentation leaves you spellbound; such is the level of attention to the detail with which he renders mathematics on the board - his handwriting - usually using multiple fonts simultaneously - makes the classroom board feel like the printed page of a classic Mathematics text - I promise you, the visuals will never leave you! Interaction with him outside of class during my student days was just as much a joy as well. I wish Prof. Bhatt the best of health and spirits,so that the students in and around the Texas A&M areas can benefit from his splendid teaching.
Student
Raj was fast paced but incredibly thorough. He was flexible with his hours and incredibly kind. He definitely knows his stuff and is able to put things into very easy to understand terms. I passed my class because of him. I am extremely grateful.

Professor Raj Bhatt is the most dedicated Math tutor I have come across. His clarity of concepts, communication style and ability to solve the same problem in multiple ways changed my entire approach to mathematics and physics and made learning fun and enjoyable. He helped me get into IIT, the most prestigious technical university in India with the toughest Math and Physics exams.

Dr Raj is a brilliant teacher; he has a clear, direct and pedagogical style, and can teach a large variety of mathematical subjects. He does not simply show the solutions, but makes sure the students understand the solutions. He also has an exceptional knowledge of well written textbooks, some of which he has recommended to me.
Undergraduate Mathematics student at Texas A&M University
Professor Rajnikant Bhatt is by far the best teacher I have encountered. He is extremely knowledgeable, clear in his teachings, and genuinely cares that the student comes to understand the concepts at hand and not simply the solutions. While Raj has taught me many subjects in mathematics his passion always made him more of a teacher of learning to me. Always talking to me about various subjects, encouraging me to explore new fields, pointing out and giving me books that would help me and much more. Raj truly has a passion for teaching and learning that sets him far above the rest, and his extensive knowledge base and skill set only serve to solidify his position there. I will always consider it an absolute blessing to have met Professor R. D. Bhatt.
